„Winter Music“ portrays a unique mood with just a few tones of safety and light which touches and bewitches in a childlike way.
The folk-like character with slight pop notes underline the fascination which „Winter Music“ triggers when its melody is heard.
Wolfgang Oppelt wrote „Winter Music“ in the winter of 1991, inspired by a drawing by his then 9-year-old daughter (see cover picture), for the trio flute, violin and viola.
„Winter Music“ is in addition to the original version in a variety of versions for advanced beginners from solo to quartet.
